The famous York Dragon Boat Race is in July and we can’t think of a more fun way to fundraise than dressing up in something silly and racing down the river!
What better way to beat the Winter blues than looking forward to an exciting Summer event? Here is your chance to take part in the York dragon boat race in our Team-Lollipop boat on 9th July! Friends and family can sponsor our team, and Lollipop will benefit from the funds raised
Teams are made up of 20 people who take part in various races throughout the day. Anna, Becky and a few others are already signed up but there are plenty of spots left! To secure your place contact Anna at info@lollipopyork.org.uk
There is a donation to book your place of £22.50 per person, which goes towards the entry fee to the race organisers, York Rotary Club. Team members need to be aged 16+ and be able to swim 50 metres wearing a buoyancy aid. Each team member needs to raise just £100 in sponsorship.
We are absolutely delighted to announce our success in applying for funding from the National Lottery Community Fund. This means we have funding for the next 3 years! Amazing! We are thrilled to be able to continue supporting you and your family and we are massively excited to plan lots of fun activities and events for the years ahead!
This year’s Christmas Prize Draw & Raffle Fundraiser was an absolute belter where a grand total of £1209.80 was raised.
We’d like to say a great big thank you to everyone who donated a prize for our draw and raffle and to those who bought and sold tickets for us. You are simply amazing!
Not sure we can beat the prizes for next year, but we will certainly try!
You will need to be a Co-op member to be able to select Lollipop as your cause (Co-op membership costs £1). We are officially linked to the York community of Co-op stores but Co-op members can raise money for us by shopping at any of their stores across the UK.
Once you’ve chosen Lollipop as your cause every time you shop at Co-op 2p for every £1 you spend will be added to Lollipop’s project!

The easiest way to enter the prize draw is to visit our GoFundMe Prize Draw page. Tickets are £1 each. Simply donate to the page to buy entries into the draw. For example, donate £10 to buy 10 tickets. GoFundMe do not allow us to include all the information about the draw and prizes on our GoFundMe fundraising page, so all the details are further down this page!
