Deaf Awareness Assemblies

Lollipop can come to your school to present in a year or full school assembly. Delivering a Deaf Awareness Assembly helps raise awareness in your school whilst helping to raise the profile of Lollipop – a local registered charity. We recently visited Clifton School and Nursery and have St Lawrence School next in the diary… Could we be coming to a school near you soon? Please email info@lollipopyork.org.uk to arrange a visit to your school. Assemblies can be delivered free of charge if you are able to commit to a fundraiser (non-uniform day) in support of Lollipop.

Dress down day/Fancy dress

This is probably one of the easiest and most successful fundraising ideas. Ask pupils to pay a set donation to wear their own clothes to school. Or something more fun – ask them to dress up instead – possibly as their favourite character and even better, get the teachers involved too.

Jumble sale

Ask pupils to bring in items such as toys, books or clothes and hold a jumble sale. You could also ask them to hold a cake sale at the same time to raise even more money.
