On 29th September our older members visited Ripley Castle and Live for Today for bushcraft and archery activities!
Outdoor Activity Centres In Yorkshire | Live For Today (live-for-today.com)
There were two hour-long sessions followed by a packed lunch and birthday cake for one of our members who had just turned 16. Bushcraft involved shelter making and fire-lighting (and marshmallow toasting!) The activity leader said one member in particular had great leadership skills while shelter building, and lots of members improved their aims in archery. A warm welcome was given to a new member and we hope to see them again soon. It was a chilly day for an outdoor picnic lunch but the lovely setting meant that many stayed to chat and it was great to see so many members making new friends and interacting confidently with each other, comparing notes about school etc. Here are some photos!
