The sun most definitely had its hat on for our family trip to Scarborough with Jorvik Deaf Connections (JDC). It was hot hot hot! Thankfully members could have a splash in the sea to cool down. Both the train trip and free time were great for developing confidence and independence and this was helped by our brilliant mentors. Members were given freedom to do what they wanted which meant many of them watched England smash it in the World Cup! Massive thanks to JDC for arranging travel and to our Sandra Norman for all the fun games played on the beach. The fish & chips were delicious and it was everything you would expect from a perfect day at the seaside.
