We visited Ripley Castle and the lovely folk at Live for Today who took us through raft building… and sailing!

Armed with the right amount of barrels, logs, and ropes, members worked together to plan, make and test out a raft. This was a great opportunity to try something new together with deaf peers, and our members got stuck into the challenge.

Water and hearing aids do not mix well, so when going out on the water everyone was clear on the signs for communication and what they meant – our amazing BSL interpreter also hopped on board!

It was amazing to see everyone enjoying this adventure and enjoying the lake on such a sunny and warm day… photos below!

A huge thank you to Live4Today for making it a fantastic experience!
