We’re visiting DIG York for a fascinating day learning about the archaeology and history of York!
There will be separate sessions for each of the following age groups, 0-5’s, 6 -11’s and 12+ and more details of what each one will involve will be updated nearer the time when invitations are sent out at the start of September. There will be lots of opportunity for hands on digging, scientific thinking to consider objects from their fantastic collection and discussing different interpretations of life in the past. Older members will consider how archaeological remains are an important type of evidence for supporting interpretations of different periods of history.
As at all our activities, a BSL interpreter will be present.
