Helen takes, keeps and circulates minutes of trustee meetings.

Helen has been a teacher of the deaf for over 30 years. She has worked in Manchester, Oldham, Huddersfield and India and has been a teacher of the deaf in York since 1994. She is now the Senior Teacher for the City of York Council Deaf and Hearing Support Team. Helen and her team work with children and young people who have a diagnosed deafness from birth to 25. They work in homes, nurseries, schools, colleges and the Universities in York. As part of the Deaf and Hearing Support Team their work is also with audiology, ENT, other professionals in the Council and with the voluntary sector.

Helen was involved with Lollipop from the very beginning in 2004 when Andrea Gitsham established the charity and she has been a trustee for much of that time.
The work of Lollipop really supports the work of the Local Authority, and Helen is pleased to be part of it.
